A litte bit about me?
My name is Maurita Lanoue. I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. I have 4 kids, all teens, who are amazing.
I have been a Group fit instructor for over 25 yrs and still teach classes at the local gym. My obsession is that I love to play competitive Pickleball.
I am a believer in doing what you love to do.
I became a Massage Therapist 8 yrs ago, it is what I love.
I will never stop being amazed at how bodywork provides so much healing to the receiver. Mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Depending if it's bodywork treatment or the Adhesion release method, they are not the typical massage appointment.
For Bodywork, I blend a wide range of massage modalities, Therapeutic, Deep tissue, and sports massage with stretching, Cupping therapy, and MyoFascial Release. My goal is for you to walk out feeling better than when you came in.

Have you had Chronic pain for more than 6 months? Have you been to more than 2-3 Dr.'s or Therapists
What are ADHESIONS?
Adhesion is a build up of scar/fibrous connective tissue that has built up from trauma, surgery, or overuse. It can restrict movement and cause chronic pain.
How are adhesions released?
We locate the adhesions through testing and palpating the area. Then apply 5-7 lbs of pressure down with our thumb or fingers to break up the adhesion. This may take several passes to clear the adhesion. This can be a little uncomfortable, but effective.
What does the process look like?
Call or text me (334)806-0393 and set up a consultation. If I find that you are a candidate for the Adhesion Release Method, we will set up an intake appointment which will include assessments, measurements, and palpations. Then upon my findings I will do treatment on the area.
There is no set maximum to appointments needed due to severity of each case. That would be discussed at the time of the appointments.
How many appointments will I need to notice a difference?
Every case is different. Our hope is for you to have a noticeable change in 2-3 treatments, however, many people in chronic pain have been dealing with their specific issue for a while. Like an onion, each treatment will be peeling a layer off hoping to see improvements in range of motion, pain reduction, and less tension. A severe case can take from 15-20 or more.
